PHNOM PENH, June 13 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen left here on Thursday to pay an official visit to Hungary and to attend the fifth Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Tajikistan, a senior official said.

The tour is being made at the invitation of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon, said Sry Thamarong, a minister at the Cambodian Prime Minister's Office.

Hun Sen will be in Hungary on June 13-14 and in Tajikistan on June 15, he said.

"This is the first and historical visit of the prime minister to Hungary," Thamarong told reporters.

In Hungary, Hun Sen will hold a bilateral meeting with Viktor Orban before the two leaders witness the signing of three bilateral documents focusing on development cooperation, education, and economic cooperation, he said.

Then, the Cambodian prime minister will be heading to Tajikistan for the fifth CICA, Thamarong said.

"The CICA will focus on regional and global security issues, counter-terrorism and violent extremism, international threats, spread of nuclear weapons, and energy security, among others," he said.

On the sidelines of the conference, Hun Sen is due to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon, Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Kyrgyzstan President Sooronbay Jeenbekov, said Thamarong.

Currently, CICA has 26 permanent member states and Cambodia became a CICA member in 2011.
