Ji Genlan (R) checks out the working condition of rice drying machines in a barn at Yanli Village in Fengxin County, east China's Jiangxi Province, on Oct. 25, 2018. Born in a remote village in Jiangxi, Ji Genlan helped parents do farm work when she was only a child. With a deep love in her mind to farmland, Ji had an idea to invest agriculture after graduating a while from a vocational school, eyeing the country's increasing support to the agriculture. In 2013, she contracted over 4 hectares of lands to plant rice, and gradually learned the knowledge in planting rice mechanically. In 2017, she set up a cooperative to provide a wide range of mechanical services in every step of rice planting, and now has served mechanically over 667 hectares of rice lands. (Xinhua/Wan Xiang)
